Labor Day weekend part II

On Saturday we went to Heartland of America park in downtown Omaha. We had never been there before so it was an adventure for all of us. What a great place! We all enjoyed a little picnic, then the kids fed the ducks, and tried to catch some as well. We also took a long walk along with river. It was such a perfect day!
Have no fear, captain Sean is here!
This was the WEIRDEST duck I had ever seen. It was HUGE, and ugly....um, I mean, unique. The picture does not do it justice.

We were able to celebrate my oldest sister Melinda's birthday that weekend as well! Yummy brownies smothered in chocolate icing... Everything's better with a thick layer of icing. There was even a Lightening McQueen pinata for the kids! (Have you seen these pinatas? Instead of having the satisfaction of beating something with a bat you have to pull strings until someone gets the one that opens the latch....out of almost 20+ strings to choose from, Jacob got it on his first try.)
