On Saturday we went to Heartland of America park in downtown Omaha. We had never been there before so it was an adventure for all of us. What a great place! We all enjoyed a little picnic, then the kids fed the ducks, and tried to catch some as well. We also took a long walk along with river. It was such a perfect day!
We were able to celebrate my oldest sister Melinda's birthday that weekend as well! Yummy brownies smothered in chocolate icing... Everything's better with a thick layer of icing.
There was even a Lightening McQueen pinata for the kids! (Have you seen these pinatas? Instead of having the satisfaction of beating something with a bat you have to pull strings until someone gets the one that opens the latch....out of almost 20+ strings to choose from, Jacob got it on his first try.)

This was the WEIRDEST duck I had ever seen. It was HUGE, and ugly....um, I mean, unique. The picture does not do it justice.
