Katy Joy!

It's really quite sad that the only child who gets the most "camera" attention is the first child. I have been trying really hard to make sure I take an adequate amount of pictures of Katy, but its just hard with 3 little ones!

I realized that I have yet to post an update on Katy for a few months now! She sure has all of us wrapped around her tiny little finger. The boys still absolutely adore her and love to be in her face fighting for her beautiful gaze.

Katy at 4 months

She is such a champ at eating, sleeping, and pooping (what else does a baby do??) At 5 months she sleeps through the night (she has been for at least a month and half, maybe 2 months now). She goes to sleep on her own (This was one of the hardest things to teach the boys when they were babies. She doesn't require any help at all- we just swaddle her nice and tight, turn her noise machine on, say goodnight and walk out of the room!) She takes 3-4 naps a day and is so happy in between!
As of Jan. 3, she is beginning the transition of sleeping swaddled to being un swaddled. Last night we found her sleeping with her arms out of the blanket, laying on her side! So often we get comments about how "chill" she is all the time.

Just recently she has begun screeching like a pterodactyl and blowing rasberries non stop. If we don't have a bib on her, her shirt is soaked to her pantline in minutes. Right now her favorite toys are her hands, she really isn't quite ready for anything but her hands. She has recently started grabbing her toes as well. She isn't quite sitting up and hasn't rolled over yet, but is so close with both skills. She is really quite content all the time, and for that I am SO thankful. When we are sitting, holding her in our lap, she insists on standing up pretty much the whole time instead of sitting. Her legs are quite strong! She likes to just hang out on her playmat and practice rolling over...she's SO close! She also likes to hang out in her highchair and watch the interactions of the rest of us....with the two boys there is quite a lot to see!
