This has been the , ok, one of the many adventures of the moment in parenting lately. Up until recently Tyler has been very much against potty training, so we didn't push it. I thought with him being around all his preschool friends last school season so much peer pressure would kick in and would make him want to get potty trained, nope. He would say, very "matter-of-factly", "You go in the potty, but I go in my diaper". The new school years has quickly been sneaking up on us so I knew I needed to get him potty trained if he was going to be able to go to the preschool I signed him up for. I really didn't want to give up his spot in this preschool because it is very popular and has a huge waiting list, and we already paid to reserve his spot. So for a few weeks we kept reminding him if he didn't get potty trained he couldn't go to the real preschool. Then the day came I told him no more diapers! As in all things, he suprised me and has done fairly well. Of course there have been setbacks of various sorts, but so far so good.Potty training definitely is frustrating, but pretty hilarious at the same time. The things they discover and point out...and inconventient times can be pretty funny. The other day we were at a store and I made Jack take him to the bathroom at the store. When they finally came out Tyler had a grin from ear to ear, ran at me yelling "MOMMY! I went peepee standing up!!!". There was another older women close by who started laughing and saying "Yay! Good job!".
Oh, the adventures you go through as a parent.

Congrats to Tyler! Do they still make those "Superman" enderwear? or is it "Transformers" now?
Yay Tyler!!! Good job; what a big boy you are!!! Isn't it great when they finally potty train??!! Logan just did about 6 weeks ago and I am LOVING it!!! ;) Such big boys we have! The best underwear is the Disney variety pack at Wal-Mart; it has "The Incredibles," "Cars" and fun underwear from a while bunch of Disney movies! Logan is so proud of his that he keeps pulling his pants down to show his big boy underwear off! He he! Such fun!
