Halloween 2011

Halloween....yes, it is February....and I'm just now getting around to Halloween from last year.....

I didn't really get pictures this halloween (at least with the big camera)...which I'm a little bummed about, but its the memories that count right? For Halloween 2011 Katy was the cutest Watermelon you've ever seen, Jacob was Darth Vader, and Tyler was Swampfire (from the cartoon Ben 10 Alien). The kids had a few oppurtunties to dress in their costumes. They got to wear them to their Little Gym class, then to our church Halloween Party/Trunk or Treat, to the Southlands (the mall down the street) trick or treat, and then of course for Halloween. On Halloween this year we only hit up a few homes of people we knew, and also stopped by Tyler's Kindergarten teachers house, since she lives down the street. Our section of the neighborhood only had about 6 finished homes, of which only 2 homes had kids (ours and the neighbor) so we knew we had no reason to stay home and hand out candy....that was a nice break.

Tyler requested Pikachu be carved into his mini pumpkin...
that was a bit difficult, but I managed to accomplish it.
I'm really kind of bummed, I carved a BYU pumpkin, but can't seem
find a picture of it....
As Halloween was getting close I got out our costume bin to try and convince the kids to be something we already had....only worked for Jacob. Katy had so much fun with that costume bin and showed me how girl she really is. When the boys were her age they HATED me putting any kind of costume on them and would scream, fight, and run away. Katy on the other hand kept bringing me costume after costume to try on her. It was great fun!

At the church Trunk or Treat she had a steel grip on her candy bucket...
and wouldn't let go for anything, even for us to put her in her car seat to go home.
