Merry May

May was a very busy month for us...as usual! We started with an early celebration of our niece Clara's first birthday, then came Mother's Day, then our move to Denver, then my birthday (along with Katy having croup and then passing it to Jacob), then our anniversary, and to finish it off we made a quick trip down to my sister Valeriane's house in Santa Fe, during which we got a mobile baby (will be in a different post)! Whew- makes me tired thinking about that month!

A picture from her family blog- ugh, she is so adorable! I sure miss her silly giggle!

Mother's day was wonderful this year! The boys got me a delicious Edible Arrangement full off giant juicy strawberries, pineapple, grapes, cantaloupe, and apples...some of the fruit plain, some chocolate dipped. One word- yum. Jack got me the most amazing cookbook EVER... Our Best Bites. Seriously, I HIGHLY recommend this cookbook. If you don't want to, at least check out their website....once again, best website ever. I also got a cute poem and journal from Tyler that he made at preschool this year.

My birthday this year was pretty low key. We had planned on going to the Cheesecake Factory (if you haven't already figured this out, it is our favorite restaurant.) but Katy had croup so we decided it would be better if we just stayed home. We were still unpacking so I didn't make a cake, but we did try out a cupcake bakery in the mall across the street from us and it did not disappoint. We had a cupcake sampling, the boys thought that was pretty fun. I believe the names of the cupcakes were Cookie Monster,Chocolate Bliss, Tie Dye, and Lime. Yum.

A random picture- we told Tyler we were instituting a new time out method, he didn't buy it. HA!
Oh the fun you can have with moving supplies.

And a fun rainbow cloud Tyler spotted while out and about one weekend in May.

Do you guys live across the street from Southlands? (I recognize the Bliss box) I didn't realize you were so close. We have been meaning to have you over--things are starting to settle down a bit now that the kids are back in school.
