Our Amazing View

We are learning exactly how great a view we have- you know, besides the view of the construction porto-potty and the cement truck dumping ground across the street, and the cornfields beyond that of course. First, 4th of July we got to see the whole cities display of fireworks. Next we got to watch the air show from our front porch! We had 4 days of watching the Blue Angels zoom past our house! (oh yeah, we heard them too) I think I was more enthralled in watching the airplanes do loopty-loops and shoot up into the sky at 90 degree angles...and shoot right back down at the same 90 degree angle, than the all 3 of my boys were. Anyhow, it was a fun weekend and I can't wait for many more air shows in years to come!

Next, we have a beautiful view of Sunrise. I am so blessed to have a 16 month old who wakes me up early enough to see the beautiful sunrise's (said with a hint of sarcasm of course). This picture doesn't do it justice, but here is a picture of one from a few weeks ago. I really do love our view of the cornfields, they make for a picturesque sunrise- the sun rising out from the horizon, a blanket fog rolling over the fields, and beautiful large trees peeking out from the fog. Those who know me well, know that I LOVE sunrise and sunset, I like to collect pictures of them too. To me, they are my personal reminder of our Heavenly Father's love for us, and that no matter what your day was like a new day has/will come and you can start all over again with a clean slate. I was never able to see the sun rise until I became a mom, and though I don't enjoy being up that early still (especially when its my 4th time up since going to bed the night before), at least my son gives me the oppurtunity to see such a beauty as this.
