Family Fun

Jack's parents came to visit for a week around Labor Day, the kids had so much fun playing with them and wearing them out. And, of course, as grandparents do, the kids got spoiled with some fun toys (I guess we did too, a new TV which we love!). Tyler got his very first bicycle and LOVES it! He has been wanting a bicycle for a long time and was so excited to get it. So far he still hasn't grown tired of it either, and it's been a few weeks. He rides it a little every day and gets better and better each time. We are having a hard time finding a helmet that fits him right, so we kind of bug him when we are right there by his side constantly while he rides. Jacob got a 3-stage tricycle that has a removable handle we can push, straps to keep him from falling out, and foot rests. He LOVES this as well. The weather has been so beautiful here lately I have been able to take the boys on a walk almost every day and Jacob loves to ride in his tricycle much more than a stroller. The handle adjusts to different heights, even low enough for Tyler to push Jacob, he enjoys being the big brother and helping out on the walks.
We had a lot of fun playing and eating out with Grandma "Ni-Ni" and Grandpa "Yae-Yae" while they were here. The boys had fun going on walks, bike rides, going to the playground, playing Wii, and playing hide and seek with them. We all realized how Tyler and Evan have switched "personalities" since the last time they were here. Now, instead of Evan, Tyler is crazy and moves non-stop, he is always talking and asking questions and always wants to play some sort of racing game he makes up or some sport, whereas Evan is quiet and calm most of the time and prefers to sit down and do a puzzle or read a book. Of course, they are both crazy when they are around each other, but that's just boys for ya.

We are glad they are able to come visit us so often and are so greatful for their constant generosity.
