In the middle of March we finally started work on our all dirt backyard! We were so excited to have something nice too look at, and for somewhere, besides the driveway, for the kids to play! After getting many, many quotes we decided on a stamped and stained concrete patio. It was so fun to see the progress, it was amazing that it only took two days!
Day 1 started with getting rid of the giant concrete steps the builder had to put in....that took a lot of muscle on their part! It also gave the boys a lot of entertainment that morning.
Then came forming it!
Day 2 started bright and early with puring the concrete. They brought load after load of wheelbarrows full of concrete. Strong guys!
Ten after letting it set for just a few minutes theythrew handfuls of the base color powder on it and began stamping it.
And voila! It's finished and we LOVE it!
Next step....the rest of the backyard!
(and a new grill to replace our camping grill!)
